PARENT
VOLUNTEERS
There are many opportunities to be involved in our
school. A volunteer handbook and
information board have been created to
provide some guidelines that we hope will
ensure that parents have a fulfilling
volunteer experience.
SCHOOL
COUNCIL
All parents are encouraged to attend our
monthly School Council meetings. They
provide an opportunity for school personnel
and parents to participate in discussions on
various topics of interest. Your
participation is encouraged in order to help
promote home and school communication and
values. The School Council executive is
elected in the fall.

PARENT FUNDRAISING SOCIETY
We presently have two fund-raising
societies. Our Parents' Society
organizes the hot lunches throughout the
year, the Spell-a-thon/Math-a-thon and a
variety of other activities that support
student focused initiatives and activities.
Funds raised are spent over the course of
the year and have included technology,
physical education and music equipment,
student field trips and library materials.
We also have a group of parents who have
been fundraising for the “Community
Enhancement Project”. Our playground
and additions to our “Wild Rose Forest” are
evidence of their efforts. Initiatives will
continue during the school year to complete
the subsequent phases of our School Grounds
Naturalization project.
